FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this a CCDW class? Do you offer CCDW classes?
No, according to state statute KRS 237.109 a CCDW permit is no longer necessary in the state of Kentucky as of July 1, 2019 for those that are legally allowed (We are headquartered in Louisville, KY.) After you obtain your CCDW feel free to come train with us. However, a CCDW permit is not necessary for our experienced instructors to train you.
My husband told me I need a .380 for protection, is this okay?
With all due respect to your husband, no one can tell you what handgun to use for self-defense. In order to find out what the best handgun is for you personally you need to hold it, operate all the controls, understand the nomenclature, and ultimately shoot it to experience the recoil. Then you will be more informed about if you want to use that particular weapon/caliber for self-defense.
I watched a video on YouTube and it said the best handgun to use for self-defense is the Sig Sauer. Is this correct?
All of our classes and lesson plans contain the most up-to-date and most relevant information based upon our knowledge and experience in the industry, best practices, and research. We will certainly share our opinions with you, but we will remind you these are our opinions based upon our experiences. There are a variety of handgun manufacturers who offer high quality handguns that are suitable for self-defense use and carry.
Does this company just teach gun stuff?
Absolutely not! We are a tactical training company which means we focus on “gun stuff” but also on the tactics needed to protect yourself and your family in self-defense situations. We also consult with our clients about many aspects of safety and security. Examples include areas such as: Security for Houses of Worship, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CEPTED), Executive Protection, Active Shooter/Aggressor Mitigation, and much more.

DISCLAIMER: Students participating in any tactical training class are expected to prioritize safety and responsibility at all times. Students are expected to follow the four universal firearms rules. Failure to adhere to these expectations will result in removal from the class.
